Two horrific road accidents took place in Abu Dhabi on Monday.
In the first accident, a recovery vehicle driver was killed in a collision, involving multiple vehicles. Six people sustained minor injuries in another accident involving four vehicles on the airport road.

Lt-Col Dr Abdullah Yusuf Al Suwaidi, deputy director of the traffic department of external areas at the RAK traffic and patrols department, Abu Dhabi, blamed the two accidents on inattentive driving and failure to observe safe distance.
The recovery driver succumbed to his injuries and died on the spot.
The body of the driver was shifted to the morgue of a hospital, while the injured were taken for treatment and medical care.
A video footage that went viral on social media showed that the road was crowded and all vehicles reduced speed, when suddenly a recovery vehicle with a car onboard rammed into another recovery vehicle ahead.
The driver of the recovery vehicle behind was blamed for the collision as he was speeding and driving in an attentive way, ignoring safety space and the crowded road.
Initial enactment of the two accidents showed that the drivers were inattentive on the road, and failed to leave enough space with the vehicles ahead.

The command and control centre of the central operations sector in Abu Dhabi police, immediately dispatched traffic patrols, ambulances, paramedics and rescue teams to the reported sites after being alerted of the two mishaps.
Lt-Col Dr Al Suwaidi said all motorists need to strictly observe traffic rules and regulations. "Pulling over in an improper way or at the wrong place during emergency cases also poses a grave risk to road users, and was blamed in so many deadly accidents," he underlined.
The public is also urged never to crowd at traffic accident scene, he advised. "They simply put their lives at stake and hinder work of the paramedics and rescue teams leading to more casualties and negative consequences."
