Nearly 3,000 residents of Al Ain attended funeral prayers at Masjid Hamouda Bin Ali held in honour of the 15-year-old Jordanian girl who lost her life in a tragic accident last week, reported Al Bayan.
The grade 9 student succumbed to internal bleeding and died at the site of the accident. She was travelling with her parents and two sisters when their car overturned five times. Her parents and two sisters, meanwhile, sustained injuries which were treated in Rashid Hospital.
A day before the prayers, families in Al Ain sent messages reminding each other that prayers were going to be held for Dana.
On Friday, right before Asr prayer, people also reached out and reminded each other of the event.
Lt-Gen Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior took to Twitter to condole Dana. He also shared a short clip of Al Ain residents attending her funeral at Masjid Hamouda Bin Ali.

News sites also carried reports of her pending funeral because of the humanitarian way that the residents of Al Ain responded to her death.
