The five-tower complex built on a podium includes a five-star hotel, A-grade office spaces, luxury apartments, penthouses and a retail area for the high-end fashion aimed at high net worth individuals.

The complete project will be opened on December 1, while the five-star hotel with 382 rooms and suites — being operated by the Jumeriah Group — is up and running.

A project of Shaikh Suroor bin Mohammed Al Nayhan — who built the Abu Dhabi Mall and Trade Centre — the total cost of the entire development is estimated at Dh4 billion, Etihad Towers property manager Richard Foulds told reporters at a briefing on the first modern development of its kind in the city.

Etihad Towers also has an observation deck at a height of 310 metres, giving a 360-degree view of Abu Dhabi and the Arabian Sea.

“Tourists can view the city for Dh85 per person,” Foulds said.

The five glass-clad towers, which are located in Ras Al Akhdar opposite the landmark Emirates Palace, have made the Abu Dhabi skyline even more attractive.

The residential component of the project is spread over three sky-rise towers, offering five-star finishing. “Each tower has a gymnasium, swimming pool and virtual concierge for the residents,” said Foulds.

“Of the total 887 apartments ranging from one- to five-bedrooms, more than 60 per cent tenants have already moved in,” he added. Rents are in line with market trends, with a one-bedroom unit available for Dh98,000.

The 52-storey Etihad Towers is the newest addition to Abu Dhabi’s A-grade office properties. It offers 43,500 square metres of leasable office space, Foulds said. Over a dozen of the tenants have taken over 50 per cent of the space, most prominent being the French Embassy, Booz Allen Hamilton and other multinationals.

Etihad Towers also features one of Abu Dhabi’s largest and most contemporary convention centres and a grand ballroom catering for up to 2,000 guests.
