ENS pip IS-RAK in IBL U-19

In a thrilling under 19 boys league match, Emirates National School (ENS), Sharjah beat Indian School, Ras Al Khaimah (IS-RAK) 57-55 in the Indian Basketball League.

In another match in the same category, New Indian Model School (NIMS), Sharjah (NIMS) beat The Millennium School, Dubai 63-28.

The teams were level in the first quarter, 20-20 in the ENS-IS-RAK encounter.

RAK Indian School dominated in the second period and outscored the Emirates National School — 12-4.

The third period though was not good for RAK Indians as ENS with a solid approach and good defence did a 21-3 job of it and ended the last quarter — 12-10.

Aamir top scored with 31 points for ENS followed by Jijo with 14 points. Shyam Kumar excelled for RAK Indians with 20 points.

In an under 13 boys match, The Model School, Abu Dhabi got the better of DPS-Sharjah 38-25 and in the under 13 girls section Our Own English High School Dubai won against Dubai Modern High 22-11 and DPS-Sharjah beat Nucaf DPS-Dubai 34-17.
