Dewa down Lukoil for football crown

Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (Dewa) defeated Lukoil to win the second Oil and Gas Football Championship at Gems Wellington International School ground.

The winning team was honoured by Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO Dewa. Khawla Al Mehairi, VP of marketing and corporate communications, Dr. Yousef Al Akraf, VP of human resources and other managers were also present.

“The participation at these events fits with Dewa’s social responsibility to support activities like this that have a positive effect on our society. Our involvement as a responsible corporate citizen is not limited to our operations, but also extends to our playing an active role in social development by encouraging both customers and our employees to continue giving back to society,” said Al Tayer.

Our support for these strategic programmes by sport clubs and teams enhances both their social and national roles,” said Fatima Deemas, senior manager of internal communications from Dewa’s marketing and corporate communications division.
