Big victory for Ibsons

Batting first, Ibsons CC opener Ramiz Raja scored a 17-ball 25 including four boundaries to set the tone after which Fakhir Zaman smashed 33 from just 16 balls with the help of six fours.

Ibsons CC defeated Unicon CC by a massive 96 runs in the Sharjah Invitational T20 tournament at the Al Dhaid Cricket Village. The tournament is organised by the Sharjah Cricket Council.

Bilal Azmat scores a gritty 45 from 26 deliveries while Baber Malik (21), Zohaib Akhtar (16) and Fayaz Ahmad (39 not out) gave the final touches as Ibsons CC amassed a massive 233 for eight in 20 overs.

Unicon CC got off to a rousing start with openers Sajjad Ahamad and Ibrahim Shaikh adding 47 runs for the first wicket.

While Ahamad took just 17 balls to hit 33 consisting of six boundaries and one six, Ibrahim hit a 22-ball 23 including three fours.

Faraz claimed three wickets to put Unicon in further trouble despite a fighting innings from Moin Javed who hit a 21-ball 31. Waseem bowled a fine spell later in the innings to claim three wickets to wrap up Unicon CC for just 137 in 19.1 overs.
