Featuring a collection of magnificent country houses, prestigious townhouses and well-located apartments, the Best of British roadshow offers Gulf-based customers the opportunity of investing in the UK by benefiting from hefty discounts. The UAE investors now stand to gain up to 39 per cent by way of developer and currency discounts, making British homes an attractive investment option.

Niki Gifford, Group Marketing and PR Director, Hamptons International, said: “Investor response to the Best of British roadshow in Dubai and now at Cityscape Abu Dhabi has been excellent. By creating a strong interface between UAE customers and UK developers, Hamptons has been able to demonstrate the benefits of investing in British property now.”

She added: “These include currency gains of up to 26 per cent due to the fluctuation in the exchange rate and up to 20 per cent developer discounts on new-build stock. Since planning applications for new property is down sharply by 33 per cent, the new-build supply will gain more value in the coming years.”

With average house price discounts nearing 17 per cent compared with last year, the UK market is now one of the preferred destinations for overseas investors.

Investors in the UAE and greater Gulf region have traditionally shown strong interest in UK property, and the Best of British roadshow marks a new trend of a UK-specific property expo’s in the Gulf.

A 140-year-old company, Hamptons International has an extensive portfolio of leading property projects in the UAE and across a number of international markets including Morocco, India, Italy, the UK and the Seychelles.

Acquired by Emaar in 2006, Hamptons has over 85 offices worldwide, providing customers with a wealth of property opportunities and access to a diverse property portfolio.
