Dubai — Shaikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, asserted that Dubai has become a hub for technology, preferred destination for international technology companies and magnet for the industry’s specialised talents.

Shaikh Hamdan commended the significant role of international technology companies’ regional offices in transferring knowledge and experiences to emerging markets, including the Middle East.

Shaikh Hamdan’s remarks came after his meeting with LinkedIn’s senior vice-president for Global Solutions Mike Gamson in presence of Mohammed Abdullah Al Gergawi, Chairman of the Executive Office of His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and Abdulla Al Basti, Director-General of the Executive Office of His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. Gamson highlighted Dubai’s position as major technology hub, adding that Dubai became the most favourite choice for international companies due to its ideal business model.

Shaikh Hamdan discussed with Gamson latest LinkedIn’s initiatives, projects and the company’s plans to expand in the region. Moreover, they discussed methods to enhance cooperation between LinkedIn and various specialised departments in Dubai Government.

Shaikh Hamdan also met the employees of the Executive Office of His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. He was briefed on the office’s current projects, and he called for more efforts and sustaining team spirit. business@khaleejtimes.com
