The Department of Control and Consumer Protection in the Ajman Department of Economic Development has been honored by HP in cooperation with Al Fardan Lawyers and Legal Consultants for its efforts in protecting the intellectual property of the existent establishments in the emirate.
The move is also in recognition of its role in protecting the company's trademark by effective response to the company's complaints, thwarting the phenomenon of commercial fraud, and seizing the counterfeit products similar to the company's trademark. The ceremony took place in the presence of the director of Control and Consumer Protection, Abdullah bin Nasser Al Nuaimi, and the company's director of Regional Investigations in the Middle East, Mohammed Shakra, as well as various officials representing both entities. The trademark's representatives praised the efforts devoted by the department relating to market's control and ensuring the products' safety and conformity to the quality standards. The officials of Department of Control emphasised their concern for strengthening the work mechanisms to ensure the protection of the rights of trademarks' owners and consumers in the emirate.
The Ajman Department of Economic Development Economy works towards intensifying its campaigns of awareness and control regularly throughout the year, based on comprehensive and integrated field plan, implemented by a team of qualified inspectors in the Department of Control and Consumer Protection.
