It is quite disappointing to learn that parent company of Reader’s Digest magazine, one of the most widely reading magazines of the world, files bankruptcy due to heavy debt, mainly following the poor circulation revenue due to consumers’ shift from print version to the rapidly changing world of digital. The magazine carries high respect and regard among a wide range of readers across the world since its commencement of publishing.

The venerable magazine has been fighting against declining readership ever since the digital form of publishing became more common among even the most passionate readers. The company was struggling for survival due to poor advertising from the traditional print media. The much acclaimed magazine for the whole of a family reading was about to reach a century in publishing.
