Two players from two IPL teams celebrated their birthdays on Thursday.
And while one isn't here just yet, the other celebrated with his teammates in the UAE. Eoin Morgan, England's World Cup-winning captain, turned 34, while Manish Pandey brought up his 31st birthday.
Morgan, who was brought by the Kolkata Knight Riders at the auction last December, is currently in England, preparing for the first of the three-match ODI series against Australia, which starts at Old Trafford in Manchester on Friday.
Morgan, who previously spent two seasons with the team, will link-up with the squad after the ODI series and well ahead of their tournament opener against the Royal Challengers Bangalore at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on September 21.
"Happy birthday, @Eoin16! We can't wait to see you in Purple and Gold!" the Kolkata Knight Riders tweeted.
Pandey, meanwhile, may have certainly missed his family back home but celebrated it with his 'extended family' Sunrisers Hyderabad.
He cut a cake at the team hotel Anantara The Palm Dubai following which he was smeared with cream all over his face.

His teammates wished him and some of them also recalled some lighter moments about him.
"Pandey bro. Some amazing memories with you bro and the best part is the way you plan for something and the way you execute that is just outstanding," said all-rounder Vijay Shankar.
Medium pacer Basil Thampi remembered a funny incident.
"Whenever we plan for a dinner or party, we used to call him. When we reach the reception and call him, he will say 'Macha (Brother), two minutes I will be there.' Again after 10 minutes, we used to call him again and he will say 'Macha, 10 more minutes, I am in the shower. The third and final time we call him and he is on DND. Macha, don't do this after this birthday. It's my request. Happy birthday, macha. God bless," said Thampi.
Fellow medium pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar revealed a secret about Pandey.
"I think Manish is the only batsman in history who asks for bats from bowlers as well. So, he comes with five bats on a tour and goes back with 10," Bhuvenshwar said.
"Wish you a very Happy Birthday Manish. Wish you great health and happiness," he added.
Wicketkeeper Wriddhiman Saha wished him more success with the Indian team.
"Many, many happy returns of the day. I hope the remaining of this year goes well for you, even with the Indian team. Hope you win many matches for us. That's all I wish for," said Saha.
