Video: Plane crash-lands on street in US, averts tragedy

Florida - The circumstances that led to the crash are unknown

Four people were injured after a small plane crash-landed at a street in St Petersburg, Florida, US. According to News 8, there were two persons aboard the plane, which also hit two cars on the road, while making an emergency landing.
The St. Petersburg Police Department shared on Twitter a CCTV footage of the incident capturing how the pilot managed to crash-land the plane on the road, averting a bigger tragedy if he had landed over a school nearby.

The news report added that the circumstances that led to the crash are unknown, "but the pilot is being praised for putting the plane down where he did".
"Where I looked up and could see him going sideways, it was right over where the school was, and if he would've gone down over there, he would've probably hit children because kids were getting out of school," the news channel quoted a witness, Tabitha Callihan saying.
