Photos: Car lands in swimming pool during driving lesson

In a similar incident in January this year, a car in California was found stuck on the second floor of a building.

A 60-year-old woman driver in Maryland was taking a driving lesson when she lost control of her car and ended up in a swimming pool.

The incident took place in the city of Montgomery Village in Maryland, US, when the woman was practicing parking. According to Fox News report quoted in NDTV, police said that the woman accidentally lost control and drove straight into the pool. They added that fortunately, she and her companion managed to get out of the car and safely swam out of the pool even before authorities arrived at the scene. No injuries were reported.
Pete Piringer, chief spokesperson for Montgomery County Fire & Rescue Service, tweeted images of the car submerged in a community swimming pool and pointed out driver error during parking practice session as the reason of the mishap.
