The catchy track BurjKhalifa, from upcoming film Laxmmi Bomb, featuring Akshay Kumar and Kiara Advani, has been making waves since it released on Sunday, October 18. This chartbuster - filmed in Dubai at the iconic landmark it shares its name with - is the brainchild of DJ Khushi Soni and his partner Shashi, who is a singer on the track.
DJ Khushi, who has performed with international artists like Hardwell and Ellie Goulding, is best recognised for his remix of Chammak Challo, from the Shah Rukh Khan superhit Ra.One.
Excited by the response to BurjKhalifa, he says, “It feels amazing. I feel on top of the Burj Khalifa because the song is doing so well! It's trending all over the world. It's at the top of the charts everywhere and I am super, super excited. People all over are making efforts to put up dance videos. It amazing for my first commercial dance hit in Bollywood to start with a such a bang! I am also very happy the song has been picturised on Akshay Kumar, as his presence has of course made it a super hit."
"I am very, very excited for my debut as a composer with BurjKhalifa. Pre Covid, I was travelling to Dubai a lot for gigs and I was always in awe of the tallest building in the world. Dubai has given me so much, so I decided to create a song about the Burj Khalifa!”
“Even my partner Shashi is very excited and the entire team is thrilled with the kind of response it's getting all over the world. It has been a tough time for everyone because of Covid-19 and the lockdown, so I am glad that this song has brought back fun party vibes right before the festive season kicks in.”
BurjKhalifa currently has over 56 million views on YouTube.
