Bitcoin’s scarcity remains a key driver of its value, attracting long-term investors
Dr Colonel Mohammed Nassir, Deputy Director of the General Department of Criminal Investigation for police stations, said that people should abide by the police instructions and signboards at the beaches.
They should avoid dangerous places and areas with high waves and vortices and should not go swimming during strong winds. Beachgoers can request assistance from the rescue teams deployed along the shores of Dubai in case of necessity, he said, adding that during summer last year, 24 drowning cases were recorded in Dubai. Most of the victims were teenagers.
He noted that parents should keep an eye on children, specially those who are not good at swimming. They should also check the status of the sea and weather forecasts before letting their children into the sea.
Beachgoers should take necessary precautions and monitor their luggage. To avoid thefts, they should not carry valuables and should close the windows and doors of cars when they go to the beach. He noted that during last summer the police recorded 16 theft cases from Dubai beaches. People should contact police immediately in case of any theft or harassment, Col. Mohammed Nassir said. He called on all segments of the society to cooperate with the police to report any problems at sea shores through toll free number 800243.
