This change will coincide with the closure of Al Manhal and Al Mushrif Healthcare Centres on July 19.

The recently renovated Al Ittihad Healthcare Centre will offer the same services previously provided at Al Manhal and Al Mushrif Healthcare centres, in addition to radiology.

As of July 21, all patients who require urgent attention are advised to visit the Khalidiya Urgent Care Centre, while patients with emergency cases are required to visit Shaikh Khalifa Medical City Emergency Department.

“In order to ease the transition of shutting down both Al Manhal and Al Mushrif Healthcare Centres, we are running a series of awareness campaigns to highlight the alternative facility — Al Ittihad Healthcare Centre. We are advising our patients that the newly opened centre is located in close proximity to both the communities and will offer upgraded services,” said Mohamed Hawas, acting CEO, AHS.

The Seha is currently building a new fully-equipped facility to replace the Al Mushrif Healthcare Centre and that is expected to be operational by 2016.

Al Ittihad Healthcare Centre will operate from 8am to 11pm from Saturday to Thursday, and from 2pm to 10pm on Friday. Services include consultation and referral, diabetic education, radiology, paediatrics, general and minor surgery, laboratory, mother and child health, patient and family health education, pharmacy, public health education, screening, vaccination, weqaya screening, women’s health clinic and chronic disease, a well-baby clinic, and pre-employment screening.
