Girl wins painting prize
RAS AL KHAIMAH - Meera Omanakuttan of Standard VI from Indian High School won the first prize in the painting contest organised by Dubai Women's Association for junior students among all schools in the UAE.
The prize was awarded by Shaikha Latifa, daughter of General Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and UAE Minister of Defence, to Meera Omanakuttan at a ceremony held at Dubai Commercial Trade Centre last week.
Meera is the only daughter of artist Omanakuttan who is currently working as graphic designer for Ras Al Khaimah Police Department.
