Written and directed by Imtiaz Patel of Hum Paanch fame on Zee TV, the play will be staged at the Hotel Intercontinental, at 9pm today and tomorrow.

Addressing a Press conference at the the Inter-Continental Hotel yesterday, Bollywood's popular villain-turned character actor described theatre as one of his most satisfying experiences, hoping that this would be followed by more theatrical performances. "It seemed that I had reached an interval in my life but with theatre I have found a new meaning," he said. The members of the cast include Aruna Sangal, Babloo Mukherjee, Nikita Chakravarty, Rishi Khurana, Kaneesha and Harshil Maniyar.

The story highlights the now-disintegrating joint family syndrome where the patriarch played by Shakti Kapoor realises that much of his importance within the family had been determined by his pay-cheque, after his retirement.

His wife would willingly iron his clothes, while his daughters-in-law would cook and serve him uncomplainingly.

Yet after his retirement, he realises that he does not have the same importance among his family members.
