UAE cabinet approves FNC’s recommendations on preserving environment

He also said that there can be no sustainable development without a sustainable environment and that it is our duty to maintain a balanced environment for future generations.

He made his remarks while chairing the Cabinet meeting held this morning at the Presidential Palace in Abu Dhabi. It was also attended by His Highness Lt. General Shaikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, and His Highness Shaikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs.

During the meeting, the Cabinet approved the recommendations of the Federal National Council (FNC) on the preservation of the environment in the state.

It also approved the development of strategic plans for dealing with disasters and environmental accidents at all levels, especially maritime accidents.
