Mohammed bin Rashid, Mohammed bin Zayed congratulate GCC leaders

They sent cables of congratulations to the leaders of Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain and Qatar, following the success of the recent extraordinary meeting in Riyadh.

His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and General Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, have sent cables of congratulations to the leaders of Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain and Qatar, following the success of the recent extraordinary meeting in Riyadh.

In his cable to the Amir of Kuwait, His Highness Shaikh Sabah Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah, Shaikh Mohammed said: “I am pleased to extend my sincere greetings and take this opportunity to express to you my high appreciation for your constructive and effective contribution to this extraordinary meeting which was held in Riyadh.”

“I can only praise your good efforts towards the success of this meeting, towards the strengthening of the march of the Gulf Cooperation Council, as well as your enduring keen interest in the unity of ranks and opinion, which we have seen during your presidency of the summit,” Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid said in his cable.

In his cable to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz of Saudi Arabia, he expressed his high appreciation of the Saudi king’s initiative of calling for the Riyadh extraordinary meeting.

Shaikh Mohammed also lauded King Abdullah’s “leading role and good efforts” and congratulated him on the success of the meeting.

He added that the Saudi king has always voiced the hopes and ambitions of the leaders and peoples of the Gulf, out of his keen interest in unifying the ranks and his hard work towards achieving this unity.

“Congratulations to you and to ourselves on the success which was made in Riyadh for furthering the march of joint GCC action and towards further stability and development for the region and its peoples,” Shaikh Mohammed said in his cable to King Abdullah.

In his cable to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain, Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid said: “I take this opportunity to express my high appreciation for Your Majesty’s constructive and effective contribution to the extraordinary session in Riyadh.”

He lauded the Bahraini King’s “good efforts in making the session a success and in bolstering the march of the GCC towards further stability and development for the region and its peoples.”

In his cable to His Highness Shaikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Amir of Qatar; Shaikh Mohammed said: “I take this opportunity to express my high appreciation for Your Highness’s constructive and effective contribution to the extraordinary session in Riyadh.”

He praised Shaikh Tamim’s good efforts in making the session a success and in bolstering the march of the GCC towards further stability and development for the region and its peoples.”
