The UAE Ministry of Interior on Thursday announced that car owners need not visit the service delivery centre to get their registration cards renewed.
The decision has been taken as part of preventive measures to protect the customers from the Covid-19 coronavirus.
"Renewing expired vehicles' registration cards without the need to visit the service delivery centres," the ministry titled it's post on social media.
"In line with the need to take precautionary and preventive measures to ensure the safety of all customers, expired vehicles' registration cards may be fully renewed without the need to visit the service delivery centres for the next three months, as of Sunday, March 22," it said.
"Customers may benefit from this measure without the need to pay traffic fines, perform vehicle inspection or risk confiscation or traffic points," the note concluded.
