The user-friendly, advertising-free site is built around social media elements and features exclusive photography and video content, match reports, fixtures, league tables and player information.

In addition, consumers can download stunning desktop backdrops.

“This website allows us to continue to build communities of passionate City fans,” said David Pullan, Brand and Marketing Officer. “And since we consider Abu Dhabi our home away from home, it is only appropriate that we launch a real-time Arabic website.”

“And just like the English language website, this new web platform is a one-stop-shop that lets fans get closer to the action.”

With Twitter and blog functionalities, it is the first Arabic language website of an English Premier League club to officially enter the world of social media.

Fans are encouraged to share their opinions and insights via www.facebook.com/cityarabia and www.twitter.com/cityarabia as well.

The site, which ‘soft launched’ on January 1 2010, has reported more than 10,000 unique visitors and 41,000 page views within its first two months.

“We anticipate that these numbers will increase with the battle for a fourth place finish intensifying towards the end of the season,” Pullan added.
