Speaking to the players after a training session at Humaid Al Tayer Stadium at Al Nasr Club on Sunday, the UAE football chief said, “You should make use of the training camps and achieve more harmony and develop individual skills and team work.”
Al Rumaithi also stated that the FA is keen to provide all requirements to help the national teams maintain the country’s image in the foreign tournaments through the organisation of internal and external training camps. Players will also be backed by the most competent medical, technical and administrative staff. The FA president also hailed the great efforts of the head coach Eid Barout and his assistants and thanked once again the managements of the football clubs for developing the talents of the players of different age groups and wished the national team all the best for their Gulf campaign.
Meanwhile, the UAE U-17 national coach Eid Barout reiterated that the attendance of the FA president at the training sessions was a confidence booster for the players.
“We thank him and appreciate his continued support to our team. We also thank the board of directors,” he said.
Speaking about the national team, Barout said preparations are going on very well. “Players are in great spirit and they are aiming to achieve great things,” he said.
“The team will head for Kuwait on Wednesday and we will play a friendly against the hosts ahead of the tournament,” he said.
UAE are scheduled to play in Group A against Saudi Arabia and Bahrain.
