Al Nasr Coach Sacked, Bani Yas Prevail
DUBAI - The Emirates scored a stunning 4-1 victory over former champions Al Nasr in the 13th round of the Etisalat League. Nabil Al Daoudi earned a double in the 51st and 73rd minutes and Enayti added the third goal before Hassan Al Sharief made it 4-1in the injury time. Anour Diba netted the consolation goal for Al Nasr.
The management of Al Nasr club sacked their head coach Frank Pagesdolrf of Germany after the defeat. The German became the first victim in the second part of the Etisalat League.
Meanwhile, Promoted Bani Yas continued their winning streak witha narrow 1-0 away victory overhosts Sharjah in the 13th round of the UF-League at the Sharjah Stadium here on Friday night. Andre Senghore netted the all-important goal of the match in the 28th minute of the first half.
With this result Bani Yas sealed theirposition in the fourth place on goals difference fromthird-placed Al Ain and seven points off the pace.
