Al Ain Club take top honours

Al Ain won the Al Ain Football International Championship with an emphatic 6-1 win over Al Shabab of Oman in the final match at Tahnoun Bin Mohamed Stadium.

Shaikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, National Security Adviser, who is also the First Deputy President of the club, First Deputy President of the Honorary Board and Chairman of Al Ain Board of Directors, attended the match.

As many as four teams — Al Ain, Riffa of Bahrain, Ithad of Syria and Al Shabab of Oman — took part in the international football tournament.

At half-time in the final, Al Ain were leading 2-0. Shehab Ahmed scored two goals (65th, 92nd minutes), while Argentina’s Jose Sand, Omer Abdul Rahman, Jomaa Saeed and Abdul Aziz Fayez were the other scorers. The only goal for Al Shabab came through Mohamed Hamad in 47th minute.

Al Ain players : Yousif Abdul Rahman , Musalam Fayez , Mohanad Salem , Saif Mohamed , Hazza Salim , Ali Al Wahibi , Rami Yaslam , Hamad Al Mari , Sofian Al Loudi , Omer Abdul Rahman and Sand.

Al Ain substitutes: Shihab Ahmed. Mohamed Abdul Rahman , Mohamed Fayez , Ahmed Al Shamsi , Abdul Aziz Fayez , Fawzi Fayez , Jumaa Saeed and Saqer Mohamed.

Al Shabab of Oman players : Abdul Kareem Al Hawsani , Asad Al Yahmadi , Ebrahim Saber , Moteb Abdulla , Ahmad Hamad , Majdi Sbeat , Darwish Jumaa , Naeem Salem , Ibrahim Mohamed , Sleem Khasif and Mohammed Mubarak.

Al Shabab of Oman substitutes: Khalid Shnon, Mohamed Khalid, Ahmed Dahi , Khaled Ramdan.

Match officials: Abdul Wahed Khater, match referee; Ali Masoud, first assistant; Jasem Al Ali second assistant; and Ali Al Bloushi, fourth referee.
