Their innate love for technology and business and the UAE's innovative business initiatives compel US couple to make the country their home
Enjoy fresh fish and help the environment with the Emirates Wildlife Society's Sustainable Fish Cookbook.
Featuring recipes submitted by the public and top UAE chefs, the book helps people taste the benefits of eating sustainable fish and offers consumers alternatives to eating endangered fish such as the hammour, king fish and shaari. This comes after studies carried out by the Environment Agency – Abu Dhabi, which showed a severe decline in important UAE commercial fish stocks in the past 30 years, with some species currently fished at more than seven times the sustainable level.
The cookbook forms part of the society's ‘Choose Wisely' campaign to combat the problem of overfishing in the UAE by increasing consumer awareness, and curbing the demand on overfished species.
