Turkish fashion house Afffair debuts in Dubai

Combining contemporary and traditional elements, the line is inspired by a man with a great sense of sophistication.

Dubai – Turkish Fashion House, Afffair launched in Dubai with their Urban Luxury Men’s 2015-2016 Fall/Winter Collection. Following their shows at Milano Uomo and Mercedes-Benz Istanbul Fashion Weeks, the brand entered the UAE market with a fashion show that was attended by over 400 VIP guests. 

Established in 2014, Afffair is a brand born from the inspiration of two designers; Azerbaijani Rufat Ismayil - former model and garment producer, and Ali Behnam Bakthiar – a UAE resident, who started his career in Paris by developing creative projects for top couture houses. 

Invited as the first Turkish fashion house to ever participate in Milano Uomo Fashion Week, Afffair made headlines with its edgy, artistic yet elegant menswear line in the international media.

At the show in Dubai, Ali Bakhtiar stated: “Calling the UAE home, this event was particularly important to me, to showcase my creative ability in the fashion world. Our vision of inspiring a sense of power, elegance and masculinity is very suitable for the regions fashionable gentlemen.” 

Afffair is based in Istanbul. Combining contemporary and traditional elements, the line is inspired by a man with a great sense of sophistication. The brand comes from an apparel and leather production heritage. 

As a fashion hub for up and coming designers, Dubai is a strategic choice for the collection to be available to its consumers. Rufat expresses his joy by saying “We are looking forward for our first store in the Middle East, a dynamic new market for Afffair.”
