Sassy and beaming with daring designs, the Kage collection dazzled the audience at the Fashion Forward runway over the weekend.
Returning for their third Fashion Forward season were childhood friends Arwa Abdelhadi and Basma Abu Ghazaleh. The pair, who created their label Kage in 2009, offered playful and chic contemporary women’s wear, mixing prints, textures and fabrics in fun and stylish pieces.
The duo’s inspiration was their own attachment to a scene that took guests back to a 1983 New Year’s party. The collection stayed true to the Kage mantra of free thinking, showcasing dark coloured ensembles with bold embelishments.
