The programme will accommodate high school and university students with the coordination of the Department of Human Resources in Sharjah. Ali Salim Al Midfa, Director General of the Sharjah Airport Authority, said: “This programme is part of Sharjah International Airport’s initiatives to provide a range of training opportunities to the youth of the Emirate, in order to prepare them to acquire experience that will assist them in building their careers, and gain a better understanding of the nature of a busy work life after their academic education.
“Through this training, we are supporting the growth of talents and abilities in the youth. This will help them to become better qualified and to interact easier with the working environment after graduation.
“It is our hope that these students will gain valuable exposure to the various fields of aviation and different fields of management and potentially look for a career with Sharjah International Airport in future. The students will be presented with a certificate of appreciation and financial rewards upon completion of their summer training.”
The trainees will spend one-month working within the Department of Civil Aviation and Sharjah Airport Authority.
