A company based out of India, Cordiant Learn Foundation, launched CLF e-School, an online platform that will take free digital education to the masses.
CLF e-School, a virtual school, delivers digital learning content for Class XI and Class XII students of CBSE curriculum. The content, which includes digital textbooks, enables students to access their course materials on all types of devices like smartphones, tablets, laptops and desktops.
It is currently available on iPhones, iPods, iPads, Android phones and tablets through native apps downloadable from the Apple and Google stores and on laptops and desktops through the Chrome and Safari browsers. Students can register for free on the website, www.cordiantlf.org and get access to a rich repository of learning content.
Students can read and annotate their class textbooks and understand concepts better through a teacher-curated collection of the world’s best lecture videos and audios on each topic. Each lecture is followed up with a quiz, which enables the student to assess how far he or she has understood the concept explained in the lecture.
Students can self-assess themselves and then go back to the lecture, if required.
“The Central and several State governments in India have been actively distributing tablets and laptops to school and college students,” said Dennis Paul, President and CEO of Cordiant Learn Foundation. “This is a humble effort towards enhancing the value and usefulness of these initiatives. We look forward to collaborating with governments and universities to take this movement forward with a lot of momentum,” he added.
CLF e-School content is currently available for initial chapters of Class XI and XII Mathematics and Science subjects. Cordiant Learn Foundation is working towards extending the availability of content to more subjects and classes. Efforts will be made to cover the Hindi medium also in the next few months.
