It's almost upon us, the Festival of Lights. Diwali. While I'm not a big fan of the fireworks - the loud ones, that seem to go off the moment you're toying with the idea of a nap - I love the rest of the paraphernalia that comes with the Diwali: the decking up, the gifting (some very generous ones!), the food, the sweets (the other day, I saw a signboard at a mithai shop, flashing 'Order your Diwali sweets NOW', so you can imagine the rush that will ensue on the big day). It'll be an excuse to indulge, and be pampered in turn. Those with a wide network of family and friends will especially have a field day. there's a huge sense of 'coming home' about Diwali. So, as we gear up to let the light into our lives, we get an array of Diwali specials: from memories and nostalgia to fashion and food. And, of course, all that glitters: gold! Check out our jewellery section to get a hang of the most happening designs and styles this Diwali.

What's more, even if you aren't diabetic, eating healthy goes a long way to keeping you fit as a fiddle. Life Coach tells us all about the mantras for success in the professional area - and in this case, those mantras are in the form of mindsets. It's all in the mind. Make it or break it.
Lots have been written about Anil Kapoor but this week, our Bollywood columnist Khalid Mohamed gets up close and personal. It's not just prattling on about 24, and Kapoor's Indianised version of it, but also how his success has shaped him as a human being so far. He says this - and now - is the best patch of his life; and I really do believe that. For one, he's looking better and better; and he's exploring new avenues as an actor, taking risks he never would have been able to three decades ago.
Travel takes us to the land of Anna Karenina and Dr Zhivago, yet manages to tread a path less travelled. and on a photographic trail. And Closing Credits is a nod to one of my favourite directors - Roman Polanski.
All this and much more.
