Truck driver dies in crash
A Pakistani truck driver, who was reportedly sleeping, has died after the truck he was driving swerved off the road and hit a wall near Sharjah University.
According to the Sharjah Police, the accident happened off University Bridge on Maliha Road, just opposite Sharjah University on Friday.
A police spokesman said that the accident was caused by the driver falling asleep at the wheel and cautioned drivers not to drive while tired. As many as four women died in separate traffic accidents last week, he said.
