The tragic incident occurred at a hotel in Jumeirah on Tuesday, February 19 and Dubai Police have said that 27-year-old newlywed, Abbie Emmett, might have committed suicide, or might have fallen to her death from the window after losing her balance.

The forensic tests proved that the woman had alcohol in her system at the time of the accident. The hotel staff who were questioned over the incident assured the police that nothing untoward had happened during the couple’s stay at the hotel, that aroused suspicion.

The criminal investigation and forensic report confirmed that the death was not the result of a criminal act. The Dubai Police said ‘a case of suicide’ has been registered by the Public Prosecution.

A UK daily reported on Tuesday that Abbie married professional MotoGP racer, 43-year-old Sean Emmett in South Africa about two weeks ago, before heading to Dubai for their honeymoon.
