Abu Dhabi - The Abu Dhabi Police arrested an Afghan worker in connection with the murder of his compatriot colleague at their accommodation in Al Samha in the emirate.
The suspect reportedly confessed to stabbing his roommate and slitting his throat with a knife after the latter refused to have sex with the former. Colonel Dr Rashid Mohammed Borshid, Head of Criminal Investigation Department (CID) at the Abu Dhabi Police, revealed that the suspect stabbed the deceased nine times in the neck.
Colonel Borshid noted that police patrols, CID officers and paramedics were dispatched to the crime scene after being notified about the murder.
“The police assigned a team from the Psychological Crimes Section at the CID to track down the suspect who went into hiding after fleeing the crime scene.
The team managed to arrest him hours later and he confessed to stabbing the victim to death with a knife as revenge for refusing intimacy.” - reporter@khaleejtimes.com
