A.M.H., 30, M.L.K., 29 and R.A.H., 23, allegedly burgled a home at night, stole the wireless key of the home gate, entered the home and made off with a motorbike as well as a wallet containing Dh800. The incident was reported in Mirdif in October 2011 by the landlord.

He contacted Al Rashidiya Police who sent a dispatch team to the property to lift fingerprints. Investigations showed that the trio had been behind the burglary and they were later arrested. During interrogation, the prime suspect confessed to smashing the window, stealing a wallet and key from the vehicle and taking a motor bicycle, ridden by the second accused.

The Public Prosecution brought charges against the trio including burglary, trespassing on another’s property and damaging property (a vehicle) belonging to another.

The court, however, did not find the trio guilty and exonerated them of the charges.
