Singh struck with his first delivery of the match to remove the rival captain Hariram Subramanium. He then took two wickets in successive deliveries in his next over.

The opener Shivank Vijaykumar fought a lone battle to stay unbeaten on 36 to get their team to 103 after Singh had cleaned up their top order to return with excellent figures of four for 15 from his five overs.

Moaaz Qazi led the run chase with typically aggressive 42 with nine fours. He shared a 57-run partnership for the second wicket with Shaheer Jazil, who made a brisk 22 not out with four fours to see his side through with more than 11 overs to spare.
