‘We are at the closing stage of signing a deal with them. Hopefully they will join our national set-up before the home series against New Zealand in October,’ BCB spokesman Jalal Yunus told reporters.

The 38-year-old Klusener, who played 49 tests and 171 one-day internationals as a big-hitting middle-order batsman and seam bowler, has completed a coaching course in South Africa and this would be his first international job.

Englishman Fountain has been fielding coach to teams including West Indies, Pakistan and England.
