The event was organised by the Sharjah Cricket Council under the auspices of the Emirates Cricket Board.

In other matches which also turned out to one-sided affairs, Our Own High School, Al Warqa, got the better of Al Taawan Private School, Abu Dhabi, by 46 runs while Emirates English Speaking School, Dubai, defeated Delhi Private School, Dubai, by eight wickets.

Dhruwa belted a blistering 91 not out while Siddarth smashed an entertaining unbeaten 86 to help Delhi Private School Sharjah post a massive 231 for two in the allotted 20 overs.

New Indian Model School Sharjah, in reply, simply cracked under the pressure of chasing a mammoth score and were bowled out for 98 in the 18th over. Aman Handa rattled the New Indian Model School batting, taking two wickets for just six runs while Siddarth rounded off a brilliant all-round performance, claiming two wickets for 15 runs.

Only Mohammed Sarhan offered some worthwhile resistance to a charged-up DPS attack, scoring 28, but New Indian Model School were never in a position to threaten their opponents.

Delhi Private School, Dubai, did well to score 160 for no loss with Akhilesh (74) and Tanmy Anand (61) showing good form, but Emirates English Speaking School batsmen fared even better to overhaul what looked a healthy score with seven balls to spare.

Karan Raju (34), Pratik Shetty (34), Kuldeep Kumar (31) and, Faisal Khan (26 not out) all batted well to seal a comfortable win for their side.
