In addition to the obvious health benefits, vaccinated residents are exempt from mandatory weekly PCR Covid tests. Moreover, several businesses have announced free stuff and major discounts for those who have received both doses of the vaccine:
>> Discounts on driving classes
The Emirates Driving Institute is offering a 10 per cent discount on driving courses. Learners can avail of the discount by presenting their Covid-19 vaccination card.
>> Discounts on hotel bookings
Bab Al Shams Desert Resort has said guests who have taken both doses of the vaccine can avail of a 25 per cent flat discount on all dining venues and hotel bookings made at the best available rate until April 30.
>> Free coffee
Café Ristretto is offering free black coffee to those who have received both doses of the Covid-19 vaccine. There is also a 50 per cent discount for coffee with milk.
The Dubai Taxi (Hala) is offering residents across the Emirate a free ride home from select vaccination centres. The free ride can be hailed from 10 vaccination centres by using the promo code ‘HALAVAC’ when booking a taxi on the Careem app.
Uber riders will be able to avail 25 per cent off two Uber rides, up to Dh20 each to and from public vaccination centres across the UAE. The free rides are valid till February 8.

Three restaurants run by Gates Hospitality are offering a 10 per cent discount to residents who have taken the first dose of a vaccine and 20 per cent for those who have taken two. Diners must show proof of inoculation, such as a medical certificate, to get the discount.
