Covid: Dubai shuts 1 outlet, warns 7 for violating safety rules

Dubai Economy on Tuesday ordered a business to close for failing to adhere to Covid-19 precautionary measures.

Taking to its official Twitter account, the authority noted that the notice was issued as part of its daily field inspections.

Additionally, two outlets were fined and seven other establishments were given warnings for non-compliance with mandatory health and safety protocols.

Authorities in the emirate are stepping up their efforts to clamp down on violators of restrictions put in place to limit the spread of the ongoing pandemic.

Dubai Police on Wednesday released a video of a tourism camp it ordered to close for a month for organising an illegal gathering in the desert.
