Authorities across UAE, including Dubai, have intensified field inspection to ensure adherence to Covid-19 precautionary measures. The inspections have led to hundreds of warnings, fines and even closures of businesses.

In a statement issued by Dubai Tourism on Monday, the authority said that during the past year, Dubai Tourism carried out more than 41,000 inspections, registering 1,094 violations - while shutting down 62 venues for coronavirus safety violations.
Forty-nine inspectors worked round the clock to monitor compliance of safety measures in the emirate at tourist venues, including restaurants, hotels, cafes, commercial yachts, boats, vacation homes, desert camps among other place frequented by residents and visitors.
