Coronavirus: Nightclubs in Dubai to be shut with immediate effect

Dubai - The authority said inspections will be carried out to verify compliance with this circular.

All nightclubs in Dubai will be shut with immediate effect as part of the UAE government's precautions to prevent the spread of new coronavirus, Khaleej Times has learnt.
The Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing has sent a circular to the effect directing all hospitality establishments to close nightclubs to with immediate effect till the end of March 2020 to ensure the health and safety of residents and visitors.
The authority said inspections will be carried out to verify compliance with this circular.
Dipesh Patel who runs three night clubs in Dubai told Khaleej Times that the clubs are closed with immediate effect.
'We have revived the official circular and we are closed from today. It is in the best interest of everyone."
