The sterilisation programme is carried out to stop the spread of Covid-19. During the hours specified by each emirate, residents are not allowed to step out of their homes unless it is for buying groceries or medicines or to perform jobs in a vital sector.

Dr Al Leem said the Sewa decision will help reduce utility consumption rates in the emirate.
