Dubai Community Development Authority rushes to the rescue of a 94-year-old man.

Heartwarming stories of solidarity keep emerging as the UAE continues its battle against Covid-19.

Taking to Twitter, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, recently posted a note of gratitude from a young Dubai resident Sam Dannoura, who'd been seeking help for his 94-year-old father, who lives in Dubai International City.

When his father was running out of oxygen in his cylinder, Dannoura reached out to Dubai Community Development Authority for help, who then connected him to one of their volunteers, Jamal. "He went all the way to my father, collected the cylinder, filled it and brought it back," tweeted Sam, adding that upon expressing his gratitude, Jamal told him, "You're no foreigners here. This is your home, and your father is like a father to me."

Dannoura added that Jamal checked with him again to ask if anything else was needed. "Dubai teaches us what it means to be human, we learn what this great nation is made of, and it is at times of crises that one's true morale shows. Hats off to Jamal, and Dubai Community Development Authority," Dannoura tweeted.
