As life staggers back to something akin to normal with obvious control factors, there are different levels of risk in what we do in a given day.

If you break the rule, for example, of more than four people in an elevator you could be asking for trouble. Safer to hang on for the next one.

If you think it is clever to pack your car with fam and friends because no one will catch you, don't cry if you start coughing or get a tickle in your throat.

We all have the capacity to con ourselves like these folks we know who delude themselves that seawater will be safe, so nevermind the 2 meter rule. But the virus doesn't know that and it stays as deadly in the ocean as on land.

In a perfect situation I would like to know where you were in the last 14 days, whom you met, what was their risk factor, ad infinitum. But since that is not possible I'll settle for gut instinct. If you tell me you have been taking chances well then I'd rather not meet you just yet.

A current listing of activities and their risk element doing the rounds makes sense and is based on logic and savvy, neither of which commodity is a constant in the human race. If you have children or elderly members at home you do place them in jeopardy? Is it necessary to take these chances?

On the freeway there are digital signs that say we are responsible. This can be read two ways. Yes we have the onus on us to behave. Either that or we share the responsibility of things go to hell in a basket.
