The Dubai-based carrier had previously announced the flight suspension to South Africa would last till February 4.
“Emirates’ flights to South Africa will remain suspended until February 12, 2021, in line with recent government directives that restrict the entry of travellers originating from South Africa into the UAE,” the airline said in a statement on its website.
It said customers holding tickets with final destinations in South Africa will not be accepted for travel at their point of origin.
The airline advised affected customers to contact their travel agent or Emirates contact centre for rebooking options.
