Even as the whole world deals with the unprecedented crisis triggered by coronavirus, a couple in England went ahead with exchanging rings, but in a rather unusual manner.
With strict social distancing norms imposed in England, the wedding venue booked by Adam Woods and Laura Acton was closed down. The two, however, were not bogged down by the crisis and decided to take help of onions.
The couple pulled over at a fast food outlet on their way to Liverpool, the destination planned for honeymoon, and ordered some onion rings. It was then that Adam decided to make the most of it and decided to exchange onion rings with his lady love.
"Adam ordered some onion rings and when he came back to the car, he told me to put them on and said we can still exchange rings.
You just had to laugh," Fox News quoted Laura as saying.
The United Kingdom has over 17,000 cases of COVID-19 and over 1000 deaths. The country's Prime Minister Boris Johnson has also tested positive for the highly contagious infection.
