Fiesta De Los Muertos, the biggest Halloween-themed live music festival, announces the multiple platinum-selling artist Carly Rae Jepsen to the celebrity line-up to perform LIVE on October 27 at the Dubai Autism Rocks Arena.
Famous for hits like 'Call Me Maybe', 'I Really Like you' and 'The Kiss'¸ Jepsen will bring her undeniably 'catchy' dance pop anthems and get the entire crowd moving.
"Get ready to feel all those E-Mo-Tions let loose and dance with the iconic pop phenomenon - Carly Rae Jepsen - at what is assured to be the hottest Halloween celebration around - a spooky and fun night out with friends and family!," says CEO of 117Live Thomas Ovesen. "We are very pleased with this amazing lineup of super talented, in-demand performers that we have curated from various music genres; there is definitely something for everyone from pop and house to rock and hip-hop, international as well as local stars. Oh and of course the off the chart, crazy Mariachis!, " added Thomas.
Hailing from Canada, Carly Rae Jepsen is best known for her breakthrough album Kiss in 2012. Her single 'Call Me Maybe' was a viral sensation, reaching number one in 18 countries and was known as the year's best-selling single globally.
Jepsen's third album E.MO.TION, inspired by her love of 80s albums from the likes of Madonna, Cyndi Lauper and Prince, is noted for blending her synthpop sound with indie vibes. The album includes many renowned artist collaborations and has produced knockout tracks like 'All That', 'E.MO.TION' and the hit single 'I Really Like You', featuring actor Tom Hanks lip-syncing in the official music video and ranking top 5 and top 40 positions in the UK and US respectively. Jepsen's most recent single 'Cut to the Feeling' released in May of this year, quickly scaled up the charts and has earned extensive play on radios across the world.
In 2016, Jepsen performed in the television special Grease: Live, and lent her voice to the animated film Ballerina. Jepsen has received multiple awards during her successful career, including three Juno Awards, a Billboard Music Award, and an Allan Slaight Award, and nominations for Grammy Awards, Emmy Awards, MTV Video Music Award, Polaris Music Prize and People's Choice Awards to date.
