Cast: Sonakshi Sinha, Diana Penty, Jimmy Sheirgill, Ali Fazal, Jassi Gill, Piyush Mishra, Aparshakti Khurana, Jason Tham, Bijou Thaangjam
Duration: 2 hours and 45 mins
Story: Directed by Mudassar Aziz, Happy Phirr Bhag Jayegi is a sequel of the unexpected successful movie Happy Bhag Jayegi where Diana Penty played the lead. Here, the movie focuses on Sonakshi Sinha, who is also called 'Happy', which is the sole reason of the whole confusion that ensues in the movie. Jassi Gill, Punjabi singer plays the lead opposite Sonakshi.
Although, the subject of the film is good and the content seems to be rich, the film fails to do justice to the story plot for various reasons. The movie could have tickled your funny bone had it struck the right chords but it turns into a disaster as it gets difficult to figure out the whole story in the first place. And, in order to understand what's happening on the screen, one definitely needs to open their eyes wide until they start to hurt or the other option is just give up on attempting to comprehend it!
Here, Sonakshi and Diana are both called 'Happy' in the movie and that's where the confusion starts. Shot in China, there are Chinese kidnappers who call Diana and her husband to China as part of their plot to kidnap them. However, they end up kidnapping Sonakshi instead. Wonder how dangerous kidnappers can do commit a blooper like this one? So the Chinese agents then go on a kidnapping spree to also find out who the real 'Happy' is. They kidnap Jimmy Sheirgill, who is playing a politician named Daman Singh Bagga, then Piyush Mishra who is a Pakistani cop in the movie. But where are the Diana and Guddu (Ali Fazal) in the whole movie?

Screenplay
Screenplay is very bad and that leads to poor scene direction and bad timing.

Dialogues
This could have helped the film at least sail through the comic genre it has been given but haphazard dialogues are a destroyer.

Music
The music is equally bad.

Acting
Although Sonakshi tries hard to nail comedy, she fails to impress with comic timing. None of the actors' work is commendable in the movie and moreover it seems there was supposedly an unsaid competition as to who can do the worst acting! All actors have done a horrible job here.
Direction
Director Mudassar Aziz seems to be confused beyond imagination when he made the sequel. Seems he only knew that because Happy Bhag Jayegi was a slow hit, its sequel needs to be bigger and that's why it's China, where majority of the movie has been shot! The only thing that soothes the eyes and mind is the location - China.

Verdict
There is no comedy at all even though it's a comedy genre film. There is also no thrill or action in the movie that would hold the interest of viewers. Seems to be nothing less than a torture and will leave you wondering why the movie has been made if you happen to watch till the end?!
