The Mumbai Police have registered a case against Indian actor Gauahar Khan on Monday for allegedly going out for a film shoot despite testing positive for Covid-19.
According to The Indian Express, the Bollywood actor, 37, had been told to quarantine in her home as per Mumbai’s Covid safety rules.
An official from the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation was quoted as saying: “When we went to her home in Andheri (W), she did not open the door. We then learnt that she instead went out for film shooting. We then approached the Oshiwara police station.”
The police reminded citizens that the Covid safety rules apply to everyone in the city equally.
